How does the interlocking mechanism work?

Does it need an adhesive?
No, IMPACT® Hard Interlocking Tiles do not need any adhesive.

What surfaces can it be installed on?
IMPACT® Hard Interlocking Tiles can be installed on any load bearing surface.

How long do these tiles last?
IMPACT® Hard Interlocking Tiles will definitely outlast your decor. However there is a 20 year warranty for residential use, and a 10 year warranty for commercial use on each tile.

Is replacing one tile difficolt?
No. IMPACT® Hard Interlocking Tiles can be replaced individually by removing the damaged/affected tiles, and replacing them with a new one using the drop-click mechanism.

Can it be laid over existing flooring?
Yes, IMPACT® Hard Interlocking Tiles can be laid out over existing floors. Any surface that can bear loads is suitable for IMPACT® Hard Interlocking Tiles.

Can it be shifted to another area after it has been installed?
Yes. IMPACT® Hard Interlocking Tiles can be shifted after they've been installed in one location. They can be removed, stacked and then laid in the new location at your convenience.

How much rough use can it handle?
IMPACT® Hard Interlocking Tiles are designed to handle medium to heavy foot traffic, and have a 20 year warranty for residential use. For commercial use, the warranty is for 10 years. Yes, foot traffic is rough use too.

Does it get yellow over time?
No, the layer with the design is embedded deep within the tile, and cannot be accessed. Therefore, colour changes aren't possible.

Does it need additional waterproofing?
No. The interlocking mechanism, and 100% waterproofing ensure that any water that collects on the tiles stays on them till they are cleaned.

Do I need to go away while the installation is on?
